The rich culture of lord Jagannath, lord of the Universe, drenches visitors in its divinity and attracts countless devotees across the world. Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Bhubaneswar – Puri (No Meals)

Pickup from Bhubaneswar airport / railway station. Proceed to Puri. Enroute visit Dhauli – also known as “Dhauli Santi Stupa”, a peace pagoda monument which witnesses the great Kalinga War. It is built by Japan Buddha Sangha & Kalinga Nippon Buddha Sangha. Lingaraj Temple – one of the oldest temple in Bhubaneswar dedicated to Lord Shiva. Chausath (64) Yogini temple – The legend behind the temple, according to local priests, is that the Goddess Durga took the form of 64 demi-goddesses to defeat a demon. After reaching Puri check into the hotel in the evening and enjoy at Puri beach. Overnight at Puri.

Day 2: Puri – Chilika Lake – Puri (B/D)

After morning breakfast, visit Sri Jagannath Temple (Non Hindus are not allowed) – one of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites., Gundicha Temple – serves as the temporary home of Lord Jagannath during the Rath Yatra & is also known as Mausima Temple. Bedi Hanuman Temple- the shrine is also called Daria Mahavir Temple. It is a belief that it is Daria Mahavir’s duty to protect Puri against the fury of the sea.

Then depart for Satpada. Enroute visit Alarnath Temple- in Satya Yuga, Lord Brahma came and worshipped Lord Vishnu here on top of a hill. Continue drive to Satpada. On arrival visit Chilika Lake- the largest brackish water lagoon in Asia & the India’s biggest inland lake spread over 1,100 square kilometres. Take a boat (By own cost) meets the Irrawaddy Dolphins in nature and the Hridaya – Sagar Sangam or the sea mouth (the point where the lake meets the sea). Later, return to Puri. Evening, enjoy and relax at Golden Beach. Rest of the time is free for shopping at Puri local market. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at Puri.

Day 3: Puri – Konark – Bhubaneswar (B/D)

After breakfast at hotel, drive to Konark on marine drive, visit Chandrabhaga beach & Ramachandi temple- one of the famous Saktapithas of Puri. The Sun Temple- a UNESCO world heritage site since 1984. It is also known as the black Pagoda because of the dark stones used for the temple’s construction. Then drive to Bhubaneswar and visit Nandankanan Zoo (Closed on Monday) – the first zoo in the world to breed White tiger and Melanistic tiger. It is famous for variety wild life sanctuary & also for white tiger & lion safari. Evening check in hotel. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at Bhubaneswar.

Day 4: Bhubaneswar + Departure(B/D)

After breakfast at hotel, start Bhubaneswar city tour, visit Mukteshwar Temple- a 10th century Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Raja Rani Temple- also known as love temple because of the erotic carvings of women and men and couples in the temple. Kedargauri Temple – one among the known ancient temples of Odisha. It is believed to be one of the eight Astasambhu shrines in the city. Khandagiri & Udayagiri Jain Caves- Khandagiri means a broken hill, Udayagiri denotes the hill of sunrise. There are total 33 rock-cut caves on both the hills. It is believed that most of these caves were carved out as residential blocks for Jain monks during the reign of King Kharavela. Tribal museum (Closed on Monday) – one of the best tribal museums in India. Established in 1953, the museum celebrates the life and culture of Odisha’s 62 tribal communities. Rest of the time is free for shopping at Ekamra Haat. Dinner at local restaurant. Then transfer to airport/railway station to catch the flight/ train for onward destination.
